Full Dentures - Before & after (Case 1)
The patient presented with issues with her full lower denture, she was not satisfied with the placement of the denture when she closed her mouth. During the appointment we discussed varies treatment plans and when the patient elected to proceed with a new set of full dentures we were able to discuss aesthetics. The patient was seeking a natural look for her new dentures. This case has utilised VITA teeth set in an arrangement that compliments the patients facial features. The Signature dentures have more of the teeth showing and closer reflect the patients vibrant personality.
Signature Wax Up
The full dentures gums were contoured at the wax stage to replicate the shapes of the natural tissue. The details in the wax have been carved to reflect the age of the patient and closer replicate nature.
Signature Gum Tint
Upon turning the waxed denture into acrylic, a series of colours were added to the acrylic to give it a more lifelike appearance, instead of the standard pink colour of dentures. The colours added were very subtle and along with the simulated veins were used to highlight the contours of the denture as well as add a natural aesthetic.
